Vice President, Human Resources

Position Summary

As the Vice President of Human Resources, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our HR department. You will play a crucial role in shaping our company culture, attracting and retaining top talent, and ensuring that our HR policies and practices align with our business objectives. This is an opportunity to build the HR function as a best in class service while owning HR execution as your team is expanded as we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  1. HR Leadership: Develop and execute the company's HR strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. negotiations of major contracts, developing personal relationships with key clients

  2. Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment process, including developing talent acquisition strategies, managing recruitment budgets, and ensuring the company attracts top talent.

  3. Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by proactively addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a culture of fulfillment, excellence, collaboration, and fun.

  4. Performance Management: Implement performance management systems, conduct regular performance reviews, and work with managers to improve employee performance and development.

  5. Employee Development: Design and oversee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and promote career growth.

  6. Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with industry standards and company objectives.

  7. HR Compliance: Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations, ensuring the company's HR policies and practices remain compliant.

  8. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, working to create a diverse workforce and an inclusive workplace culture.

  9. HR Technology: Evaluate and implement HR technology solutions to streamline HR processes and enhance data-driven decision-making.

  10. Budget Management: Develop and manage the HR budget, optimizing resources to achieve departmental goals.

  11. HR Metrics: Establish key HR performance metrics and regularly report on HR department effectiveness to senior leadership.

  12. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience at the executive level.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition and talent management.

  • Demonstrated success in driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Interest in rolling up sleeves and executing HR functions while building the HR department over time

Technical Skills / Knowledge:

  • Excellent Reading Skills

  • Good Writing Skills

  • Intermediate Research Skills

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to maintain multiple schedules and track progress of multiple projects

  • Experience with communicating on a daily basis with company management and executives

  • Working knowledge of developing successful recruiting and retention plans

  • Ability to work independently or within a team

  • Time management skills
