Sales Development Representative

Job Description

  • Lead Generation: Proactively research and identify potential customers through various channels such as online research, social media, industry events, and marketing campaigns. 

  • Qualification: Qualify leads by conducting initial discovery calls, understanding their needs, evaluating their fit for our products or services, and determining the potential for conversion into sales opportunities. 

  • Appointment Setting: Schedule and coordinate appointments or product demonstrations between qualified leads and our sales executives. Participate in the appointment and retain meeting minutes, ensuring a seamless handoff and define next steps. 

  • Pipeline Development: Nurture and develop leads that are not immediately sales-ready by conducting regular follow-ups and building relationships to keep our brand top of mind. 

  • CRM Management: Accurately record and maintain all lead information, activities, and relevant data in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure proper lead tracking, reporting, and pipeline management. 

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to align lead generation efforts, share market intelligence, and provide feedback on lead quality and conversion rates. 

  • Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to effectively articulate our value proposition and differentiate our offerings during prospecting and qualification calls. 

  • Metrics and Reporting: Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as lead generation activities, conversion rates, and pipeline progression, to evaluate your own performance and contribute to team targets. 

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. 

Experience:

  • Previous experience in sales or lead generation, preferably in a B2B environment. 

Technical Skills / Knowledge:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. 

  • Proficient in using CRM systems, such as Salesforce, and other sales tools to track and manage leads. 

  • Solid understanding of sales processes and the ability to quickly learn about our products or services. 

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
