IT Help Desk Technician

Job Description

This position reports to the Senior Systems and Network Engineer. Some travel may be required to support remote offices located around the country. 

  • Provide Telephone / Remote and On-Site troubleshooting and technical support for PC hardware, Document Scanners, Printers, Applications, and general networking issues. 

  • Installation, configuration, and support of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7, 8/8.1 and 10, 11). 

  • Installation, configuration, and support of Microsoft Desktop Applications (2010, 2013 and 2016 Office Suites and Microsoft 365). 

  • Assist with general maintenance of Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2008 R2, 2012, 2012R2, 2016, 2019, 2022) as directed by the Sr Systems Engineers and Systems Administrators. 

  • Installation and support of other In-House and 3rdparty applications as required. 

  • Troubleshooting of general networking and connectivity issues, to include remote user VPN connectivity. 

  • Installation, configuration and support of printers, scanners and other PC and network attached hardware. 

  • Maintenance of Active Directory User Account, Computer Accounts, etc. 

  • Assist Production Managers with quality control issues regarding scanning equipment and applications. 

  • Assist the Senior Systems and Network Engineer in tasks and projects as required. 

  • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation of processes and procedures. 

  • Skill Requirements 

  • 2-3 years of experience working in an IT Helpdesk /Support Role. 

  • 2-3 years of experience working with Windows Active Directory User accounts (Account creation, removals, and group assignments). 

  • 3+ years PC / Laptop setup and troubleshooting experience. 

  • 2-3 years of experience supporting Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7, 8/8.1, 10, 11). 

  • Strong printer and scanner, troubleshooting and general maintenance skills (Canon, HP, Kodak and others) 

  • Basic IP networking and troubleshooting skills. 

  • Experience supporting network and PC attached devices (Printers, External Storage Devices, Scanners, Etc.). 

  • Good oral and written communications skills 

  • Good web research skills 

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office Suite products (2010, 2013 and 2016 and Microsoft 365) 

  • Good time management and multi-tasking skills 

  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions 

  • Ability to work effectively in a highly organized manner and be detail oriented 

  • Ability to Travel as required 

  • Ability to work overtime as required 

  • Valid driver license
